I Heart Faces - Orange

This weeks theme over at I Heart Faces is Orange. I haven't been able to participate in a while because I have been so busy, but when I saw orange, I knew I  had to make time! I had the most perfect image!

Fall is my favorite. Babies are my favorite. Pumpkins are my favorite. There is so much favorite in this image I can barely contain myself!

I Heart Faces - Pet Faces

Anyone who knows me, knows my LOVE of animals. Specifically my love of dogs. We started with one and now have 3. If my house were any bigger I would for sure get one more. I have a soft spot for dogs with a story and even more for rescue dogs. I would never buy a dog from a breeder. I always say that a dog from a rescue will love you more because you took them when no one wanted them. All 3 of my dogs are rescues.

So when I head that I Heart Faces was doing a Pet Faces Challenge I KNEW this was for me!

Our newest rescue is our 4 month old puppy, Zoey. We had no intentions of getting a 3rd dog since our lives were crazy at the time. But I was text a picture of Zoey's brother & I couldn't resist. So we took a trip to visit the clan. They were being fostered by a friend of a friend through Midwest Animal Rescue Services. I really wanted a girl dog since our others were boys. I feel in love with all of them. Then I heard about Zoey. She wasn't there with the other 7 puppies. See, Zoey was the runt & was pushed aside. She wasn't eating from her mama and her outlook looked grim. She was taken away & given to another Foster. She was feed with a syringe and took to another dog who just had puppies. Amber became her surrogest mama and even though she was a lot smaller than the other puppies Zoey was a little spitfire & was able to hold her own.

I knew I wanted her. She needed to be apart of our family. Both our other dogs had stories. Hawk we rescued from a farm on the Minnesota/South Dakota boarder and Kooper we rescued from the Humane Society after someone gave him up because they lost their house.

A few weeks later we met Zoey and knew right then & there she was perfect for us. We took her home that day & the rest has been history. She is a fantastic dog with a lot of spirit and a lot of love to give. She has SO much personality. I love that she is super food motivated as well because it makes me taking pictures of her so easy! The girl will do ANYTHING for a treat. So, I took her out for a photoshoot & got so many great photos. It was the last photo of the day however that I am madly in love with. It shows just how sweet she is. My little girl with a big smile!

I Heart Faces - Hey Girl

With Mothers Day coming up I did a Mommy & Me shoot with my daughter. I plan to do a Daddy & Me shoot with my son & my husband next month for Fathers Day as well. There were so many great shots. I had all these ideas in my head and I was so happy that most of them came out flawlessly.

I also knew that I Heart Faces newest Theme was Hey Girl and had the the most prefect picture in mind.

I Heart Faces - Happiness

Photo Challenge Submission

This was a very easy picture to choose. After photographing my kids Easter pictures yesterday there was one that stood out for me.

How can you not smile when you see them? I can just picture them giggling over their own little inside jokes. They are amazing little creatures & I am pretty lucky that I get to call them my own!

I Heart Faces - Black & White

Photo Challenge Submission

This months challenge over at I Heart Faces is "Black & White". I adore black & white images. They are amazing. Black & white images change the entire feel of an image & it is fun to play with that.

If there is one thing you should know about my family is that my kids & myself love mustaches. I am not sure how it started but I adore how the love has developed. Dress up for my son always involves me drawing a mustache on his finger as he runs around the house with it under his nose. On many occasion we have made them out of construction paper & shish kabob sticks.

Originally for this challenge I wanted to do something deep & meaningful with my black & white image but I kept coming back to this image.

It is so simple but it just makes me laugh. My little 4 is pretending to be a mad guy with a mustache but she just look so cute. I love her little scrunchie face. I could just eat her up. Then of course the mustache. The silly little thing that has created many many hours of fun in our house.

So put on a fake mustache & smile. :)

I Heart Faces - Hugs & Kisses

When I saw that the new challenge for this week was hugs & kisses I knew I had the perfect photo.

This was taken at my most recent styled shoot. Alice in Wonderland was the theme & there were so many amazing pictures. This one is by far my favorite however. When the clients first came to me with the idea of doing an Alice in Wonderland shoot I had this idea in my head. It came out perfect. Just like I imagined. I adore it!

I Heart Faces - Oh So Silly

When I got the email for the newest Photo Challenge I knew exactly which picture I was going to use. I recently shot a wedding that had some pretty funny guests!

I have the most perfect picture for it too so it is hard to pass up! This was an image I took just a couple of weeks ago at a newborn shoot! I hope Harper grows up to love books just as much as her family does!

Oh Harper! Oh are so pretty!
