Mounds View, MN Kid Photographer { Matilda is ONE! }

Picking out my favorite pictures for this blog post was IMPOSSIBLE! I really just wanted to post every single picture. lol I have been photographing Matilda since she was in her mama's belly. It has been amazing to watch her grow. Not only did I think her mama is amazing, she must have thought the same thing about me because we have become really great friends over the past year. Emily came up with some fantastic ideas and paired with the location we chose I knew the pictures were going to be nothing but spectacular! One of my favorites is Matilda with the clothes line. Those dresses are just random dresses but they are the dresses that Matilda wore in her photoshoots with me. I love that! The trunk that she is sitting on is same trunk she slept on in her newborn shoot. This shoot is all about coming full circle with Matilda's 1st year! Of course we HAD to do another Chalk drawing with her too. Mom & Dad said we should have Matilda be a different letter every year! I love that!

I Heart Faces - Black & White

This months challenge over at I Heart Faces is "Black & White". I adore black & white images. They are amazing. Black & white images change the entire feel of an image & it is fun to play with that.

If there is one thing you should know about my family is that my kids & myself love mustaches. I am not sure how it started but I adore how the love has developed. Dress up for my son always involves me drawing a mustache on his finger as he runs around the house with it under his nose. On many occasion we have made them out of construction paper & shish kabob sticks.

Originally for this challenge I wanted to do something deep & meaningful with my black & white image but I kept coming back to this image.

It is so simple but it just makes me laugh. My little 4 is pretending to be a mad guy with a mustache but she just look so cute. I love her little scrunchie face. I could just eat her up. Then of course the mustache. The silly little thing that has created many many hours of fun in our house.

So put on a fake mustache & smile. :)

Minneapolis, MN Kid & Family Photographer { Matilda }

Next to my own kids, Matilda is one of my favorite little people. Her toothless grin & cheeks for days are just about the cutest thing ever. Not to mention her mama is pretty fabulous & dresses Miss M as a Baby GAP model. It's pretty damn cute. We met at the Walker which was the perfect place for Matilda's 6 month shoot. As people walked by she analyzed them & upon her discovery either smiled at them or turned away if she found them less than amusing. Girl has an old soul, I can tell. She makes amazing faces. Whether it is a smile, serious...or what I like to call her Pirate Face it was all pretty awesome. You can see her Pirate Face in one of the family pictures. I already decided that I will be printing that one out for my office. When I am ever feeling blue I will look at it & smile. I love her little personality! Picking out the pictures for the preview was so almost impossible. I wanted to post them all, but here are a small batch of my favorites!
