I got an email from Joel the day before their photoshoot that said when I got a chance to call him about the shoot. I got the email while working next to my husband. I said to him "I bet Joel is going to propose." Sure enough that is what the phone call was about! I was so excited & honored that I was asked to do this. I have never been apart of an engagement before & I have always dreamed to be able to photograph one! It is just about the sweetest thing ever!

Audrey had no idea that this was going to happen tomorrow. She went into the shooting thinking it was a simple family shoot. It wasn't. We had code words for the perfect time. We wanted the lighting & everything to be just perfect. So when it was I said "The lighting here is so pretty!" and Joel knew this area was perfect.

Of course Audrey said yes. She was shocked & it was so cute! She kept saying "I can't believe this!" I really expected for tears from the girl but she held her composure really really well! We can't forget their 3 month old Cole & their dog Molly who were there too to join in on all the fun!

Congrats you two!!! I can't wait for the wedding!!

On a very warm fall afternoon I met up with the Ockwig family for a huge family shoot. Some of you may recognize Emily for many shoots in the past. This is her husbands side of the family. As a gift for her MIL all the kids got together & bought her a session so she could have some professional family pictures taken. I had a great time. All the kids were just adorable & I gave many of them nicknames. I have a horrible memory when it comes to remembering names in a large setting. I am sure "Tie Boy" is loving his new nickname. hehe Thanks for the great session you guys!!

Back in mid July I did baby Allison's newborn pictures. Her mom, my cousin, was in town. They live in TN because her husband is in the Military. They were lucky enough to get some time to come up & visit then. This time it was just Mom & Allison. They are only here for a week & I knew that I had to get some pictures because the next time I see them, won't be until Christmas. We were lucky enough to have some decent weather the ONE day we picked. The days before it was raining & the days after it has been so windy that I am sure Allison would have blown away. I can't believe Allison is already 3 months old! I also kind of forgot the funny faces that babies this age make. She was so interested in everything outside. It was adorable. I also think that the last picture is my favorite. Smashed baby faces are the cutest things!!! I can't wait to see what she looks like in another 3 months at Christmas time. That shoot is going to be extra fun!

One very warm evening I met up with the G family at the Walker Art Center Sculpture Gardens. It was really warm, close to 90 degrees, but thankfully it was in the evening so we didn't have the crazy sun directly on us! Stella & Sydney were fantastic! When we walked to different locations Syd held my hand & told me stories about things. She has the most amazing blonde hair! I told her that I pay good money to try to get my hair like that. lol Of course we have adorable, chunky, Stella. Her big cheeks & even bigger eyes were just killer. I have a love for fat babies! Oh they are just so cute! I decided to try something a little different with my editing for this blog post. I went for a vintage style. I couldn't resist. The first picture just worked so well. I love this edit & it worked rest for the rest of the previews.

As I am sitting her making this blog my daughter sat next to me & says "Hey mom. That little girl (talking about Sydney) has a pretty pink skirt. I think she should be my new best friend." lol Little kids are the funniest things!
