Natalie - 6 Months

I love Minnesota. I don't think Mother Nature really does. I met with Baby Natalie & her parents on one of the hottest days that I can remember. In fact that entire week was ridiculously hot! They were troopers though & even though there were many stops to wipe off the sweat we made it through. Natalie is another one of those babies that stole my heart instantly. Girl is a chunk & I have a soft spot for them! She made the silliest faces & I was just in awe of how good she did. She was dressed in the cutest clothes so props to mom on that! And Dad...doesn't he look like Dane Cook? OMG! lol

Ally & Kate

Kate is my little chunker butt! Our birthdays are a day apart & I have been photographing her since she was a peanut! I can't believe she is already 1!!! Her mom & I have become pretty good friends so I have been able to see Kate grow more than just at her photoshoots. She is such a doll. She finally has a neck. lol Girl is so chunky that for the longest time you never saw a neck. She is also walking now too!! So awesome! Then there is Miss Ally. She is a spit fire! Girl is 3 going on 16 & I just adore her. Her curly hair just adds to her silly personality! And that girl can talk for days. She is going to need unlimited minutes on her cell phone when she gets bigger! When you get the two girls together they do nothing but make me laugh. Ally loves her sister SO much!!

Tyler - 2

Meet Tyler. OMG is he cute! His blonde hair & cheeks just kill me! We met at one of my favorite locations & had a blast with these guys. Tyler was such a good sport with the whole thing. Not typical for a two year old. His smile just melted my heart. His whole face just lit up & I couldn't help but walk away from this shoot with a big 'ole smile on my face too!

I swear I am still around

Besides work, all I have been doing is working...on my house. Some of you may know we purchased our 1st home in October. The thing needed to be completely gutted & rebuilt from the frame out. We have been doing it all ourselves which has been saving us a lot of money but also taking more time. Slowly but surely we have been getting there. I haven't been able to do much until recently. I am the last person you want doing sheetrock & rewiring the entire house! I can however paint, clean, plant & help do any yard work. Now that the house is finally at that stage where that stuff can be done, I have been none stop working at the house. My poor kids haven't really seen much of either of their parents in weeks. My Mother in Law is off for the summer so she has been great taking the kids during the day & my mom has been taking them during the weekends. It has come a long way though since we bought it. I plan to post some photos here of it before & after once it is all completed. But, here are some crappy iPhone photos of the before & almost after on the outside.

As you can see a lot has changed. We painted the crappy old siding, & put up new tirm. We are going to be putting up new shutters but that hasn't happened yet. We got a new front door & the screen door that is on there is from the side door since we got a new one of those. We also tore out all the crap in front of the house. We laid down plastic & covered it all around the house. The houses in our neighborhood have been known to leak with heavy rain & we knew this would help. Thankfully we haven't had any leaking so far even with the crazy storms we have had!

Don't mind the ladder there. I swear it hasn't been laying there for the past 9 months. It was there in the 1st picture because we repainted...but not the green you see. It had to be painted because FHA wouldn't approve our loan. The previous homeowner bought the paint. It was ugly & we hated it pretty much right away but we lived with it until we painted it the color it is now. We really love the green & it hids all the imperfections. Someday we want to reside it but with everything that needed to be done residing just isn't in the budget right now.

So that is what I have been doing. I swear after this weekend I will have several previews up & what out for a late summer mini sessions!!!

Matthew - 2 Years Old

I always say "It is such a small world!" and this shoot totally proved it! Mom worked at my high school & dad worked at my Elementary school! How small of a world is that?! It was fun to talk about the past & see who still works at Golden Lake. Not to mention my little cutie that I got to photograph. Little Matthew is oh so adorable. So clam & so easy to photograph. Really, he was a photographers dream child. I just wanted to squeeze him & take him home with me. He wasn't too keen on that idea though. haha

I am officially an Auntie!!!

My brother has his baby on Thursday night. I couldn't be happier!! I went to visit early this morning before my wedding. Of course I came  home, edited some pictures for Facebook & had to make a quick announcement until I do the official newborn shoot!

Congrats Steven & Steff! I am so happy for you guys!!

Wanna see the cutest cat ever?

I am normally not a cat person. I like cats, but they are just cats. I like dogs. But, my girlfriend came home with a cat the other day. I couldn't resist!

Baby Jaguar totally makes me want a cat. Too bad Kyle is allergic!!

Jena - Maternity

Tomorrow, my very good friend Jena will be having her second baby. I have known Jena for a long long time. It wasn't until the birth of our 1sts (who are 6 months apart) that we reconnected & realized we have a LOT in common. We had planned this photoshoot for last week but Mother Nature had other plans & decided to make the day an entire day of nothing but rain. I said, even if we had to do these Tuesday morning before you go in for your c-section, we will get them done. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather for the redo. Overcast, a little chilly & no rain. Perfect. Jena looks amazing, her hubby is adorable & Ryan (their 4 year old) is just about the cutest child ever. She is oh so funny & has more energy than 6 kids her age. She is going to make a great big sister! Almost 24 hours! Ekk!

Congrats Jodi!

Yesterday my friend Jodi, who's maternity shoot I did earlier this month, had her baby! You can see her shoot here! I was thrilled & went to visit, camera in tow that afternoon. Truman is a tiny little guy. Not even 6 pounds. Lots of hair & as cute as ever. I didn't want to put him down but I had to snap a few pictures of this little cutie! It was quite in there, just mom & I, while everyone was out having lunch. They came back just as I was leaving so I was able to get a few family shots too. Oh this only increased my want to have another baby!
